The Children's Home of
Lubbock is currently
seeking families who are willing to open their hearts and homes
to a child or children. Foster parents serve as temporary family
to children whose biological families are not able to care for them.
Foster children usually either return to their biological families,
go to live with a relative, or become "adoptable." Many
of our foster parents have been able to adopt their foster children.
Foster families are not responsible for any medical expenses for
the children and The Children's Home of Lubbock provides financial
assistance in order to help cover the daily costs of providing for
a foster child.

Last
year over 500 balloons were released in Lubbock in honor of all
the children in Lubbock County who are in foster care.
